PAT STEM Contexts is being discontinued and retired from sale in September 2026. PAT STEM Contexts with be removed from OARS in December 2026. This article explains what the discontinuation means for schools with an active PAT STEM Contexts licence or PAT STEM Contexts credits.
Important dates
- 30 September 2026: PAT STEM Contexts will be removed from the Store page in OARS and will no longer be available for purchase.
- 18 December 2026: PAT STEM Contexts will be removed from OARS. After this date, the assessment and associated reports will no longer be available.
Schools should download or save any required reports before 18 December 2026.
If your school has an active PAT STEM Contexts licence
- Your school can continue to access and use PAT STEM Contexts until your licence expires or until 18 December 2026, whichever occurs first. If your licence expires before 18 December and you need to renew your licence to support any remaining testing requirements during Term 4, 2026, please contact school.support@acer.org before 30 September, 2026.
No immediate action is required. However, we recommend completing any remaining assessments and downloading required reports before PAT STEM Contexts is removed from OARS.
If your school has PAT STEM Contexts credits
To support any remaining testing requirements during Term 4, 2026, PAT STEM Contexts will be added to your account as an additional licence.
This will allow your school to use PAT STEM Contexts until 18 December 2026.
Can schools purchase PAT STEM Contexts?
PAT STEM Contexts will remain available for purchase until 30 September 2026.
After this date:
- licences and credits will no longer be available for purchase
- PAT STEM Contexts will be removed from the Store page in OARS
- no further licence renewals or credit purchases will be available
What happens to existing PAT STEM Contexts reports?
Existing PAT STEM Contexts reports will remain available in OARS until 18 December 2026.
After this date, PAT STEM Contexts and its associated reports will no longer be available. Schools should download or save any reports they need before the removal date.
