Test Usage Report

The Test Usage Report is available for all assessments. This report can be generated from the account home page, the students menu as well as the reports menu.

This report is for use across your whole school or any selection of students; this report allows you to monitor test administration progress and view the numbers of tests that are assigned, started, completed or not yet assigned.

To generate a Test Usage Report for one of your assessments, choose one of the following pathways:

  • From the account home page:
Click the ‘Test Usage Report’ button on the home page of your account under the section 'Licensed Products'.
  • From the students page:
Filter and select the students you wish to generate a report for. Click 'Generate report' and select the assessment from the menu. Then choose 'Test Usage Report' and select the required fields (Test and Time period). Click 'Generate report', and then 'View report'.
  • From the reports menu:
Select the assessment from the menu. Then choose 'Test Usage Report' and select the required fields (Test and Time period). Click 'Generate report', and then 'View report'.

By default, the first page of the report will display the number of completed tests for the current school year. This number is plotted in a chart that also displays the total tests assigned during the current school year:

The first column in the table lists your school’s year levels. The second column lists the number of students in each year level. The third and fourth columns tell you how many of the assigned tests have been completed.

Click ‘Change report’ to specify a custom date range for the report. This may be useful if you would like to see a list of the tests completed by your students in the previous year in order to help you assign this year’s tests.

Click any of the year level buttons in the table to view more details.

The table will reload and allow you to view the status of tests assigned to the students in your selected year level, as well as a list of students to whom no tests have yet been assigned:

Click each of the status buttons to view a list of those students and their test details.

From each list, you can select students and perform relevant actions, such as re-opening closed tests, or assigning new tests to students.

You can also download each student list into Excel. This may be useful if you need to provide your colleagues a list of students who still need to finish their tests.
